What they are. The fascia is the board along the edge of your roof that the eavestroughs hang on. The soffit is the panel underneath the overhang, between the fascia and the wall. Why they fail. Fascia is usually wood. When water gets behind an overflowing or leaking eavestrough, the board stays wet, rots and loses its grip on the trough hangers. Soffit gets cracked by hail, blown loose by wind, or chewed open by birds and squirrels looking for a warm attic.

- Fascia wrapped in custom-bent aluminum cladding so it cannot rot again
- Damaged or loose soffit panels replaced
- Vented soffit installed so the attic gets the airflow it needs
- Animal entry points closed off
Best done with the eavestroughs or the roof. The eavestroughs come off to fix the fascia anyway, so it is the right time to put up new seamless eavestroughs or repair the existing ones. During a roof replacement the roof edge is already open too.
