What Changes the Price of a Roof
Most Calgary homes land between $4.50 and $7.00 per square foot for a full replacement. Where yours falls depends on a few things we can only see on site:

Is the roofing estimate really free?
Yes for roof replacements, hail and storm damage claims, pre-purchase inspections, siding and eavestroughs. Roof repairs are the one exception: a leak cannot be priced accurately from the ground or from a photo, so the on-site diagnostic is $160, and we waive that $160 if you go ahead with the repair.
Am I obligated to hire you after the estimate?
No. You get a written, itemized quote and the decision is yours. We do not use high-pressure sales tactics and we do not ask for large deposits up front.
How quickly will you get back to me?
We reply within 24 hours to book a time to see the property. The written quote follows the site visit, because we price from real measurements rather than guesses.
What does a roof repair cost in Calgary?
Our minimum charge for a roof repair is $860, which covers a straightforward job such as replacing a cracked vent boot or resealing a section of flashing. Repairs involving rotted decking, several leak points or difficult access cost more. You get an exact written price after the inspection, before any work starts.
What does a new roof cost in Calgary?
Most Calgary homes land between $4.50 and $7.00 per square foot, which is roughly $9,000 to $14,000 for an average 2,000 square foot home. Material, pitch, the number of valleys and skylights, and any rotten decking found during tear-off all move the number. That is why we measure before we quote.
Do I need to be home for the estimate?
Not always. We can measure and inspect the exterior without you there. If you would like the attic checked, or want to walk through what we found together, it helps to be home.
Can you help with an insurance claim?
Yes. For hail and storm damage we document the damage with a photo report written for your adjuster. Be aware that in Alberta it is fraud for any contractor to offer to waive or cover your deductible.
